Technical Solutions has recently been involved in the the manufacture, marketing, distribution and installation of residential elevators for the Australian residential lift market.  The Great Australian Lift Company (GALC) was created to meet a gap in the elevator market internationally – to offer a premium product at a cost-effective rate. 

There are currently four elevators available, each meeting a different need in terms of size and affordability.  All elevators are priced between $30,000- $50,000 AUD installed and are 100% Australian Standards Compliant, as verified by Pitfield and Associates Pty Ltd.

Technical Solutions is offering a free NZRAB accredited course on Broadband and the National Fibre Rollout as it relates to Architects.

As of the first of September, Technical Solutions are now registered on the CPD Provider Network with the New Zealand Institute of Architects.

What this means, is that we are able to offer training to NZRAB members (NZ registered architects) which will accrue points towards their continuing registration requirements.

At this time, we have one short course approved, entitled "Architectural Considerations Surrounding Ultra-Fast Broadband" and will be looking to add more courses soon.

Recently my business partners and I launched a project aimed at the Australian residential market. It is a joint venture arrangement between Technical Solutions Australasi Ltd and a very large building and construction company out of Australia.

Three things have stood out to me as a result of our efforts: 

  • There is a disturbing amount of overcapacity in the manufacturing sector here in NZ. CEO’s, Directors and Bid Managers were contacting us sometimes within 30 minutes of submitting NDA documentation to arrange meetings.
